Woodpecker
HuhhhHuhhuhhh
Got his home in an old dead tree
Where the wood is rotten and the food is free
The meanest bird you have ever seen
With a big red tuft smelling like benzene
HuhhhHuhhuhhh
Always pickin for the things inside
Woodpecker always thinks he’s right
In every argument and every fight
There’s no place to run there’s no place to hide
And the only thing he seems to say
Is don’t you love me and go away
Woodpecker you’re too loud
Drilling holes and being proud
Proud of fighting imperfection
Living life without affection
Woodpecker let me show
It might take a heart to know
Simple things ain’t really shallow
Bring old habits to the gallow
He never picks on crows or doves
He just picks on the ones he loves
Woodpecker loves to swear and shout
Woodpecker wants to help you out
But the only thing he seems to say
Is please don’t love me and please don’t stay
Woodpecker you’re too loud
Drilling holes and being proud
Proud of fighting imperfection
Living life without affection
Woodpecker let me show
It might take a heart to know
Simple things ain’t really shallow
Bring old habits to the gallow
HuhhhHuhhuhhh
Got his home in an old dead tree
Where the wood is rotten and the food is free
The only thing he seems to say
Is don’t you love me and go away
